Scale settings

Okay blobbers it has been a rough week for me in all other aspects of life besides dieting surprisingly enough, here goes.......hubby and I were on our way to breakfast sun morning(my cheat meal because he loves this one greasy diner we HAVE to go to). A lady turned left right in front of us and totaled our car!! We are okay, have replaced the car (upgrade :) but I have been so busy I haven't been eating as much as I should even. So I step on the scale yesterday, thinking I should have shed lbs from stress,etc. NO!!! I am 10 lbs heavier. Dark clouds form, and I am in a raunchy(husband calls- I am gonna stay late at work) mood. I am hanging clothes in the closet the next day where I keep my scale, I pull it out and the setting is set 13 lbs behind the zero! I must have moved it when I kick it under my shoe holder after use. The sun comes out, I have lost a couple lbs and all is right with the world again. My advice? check the settings(it makes for much better days). Have to stay away from teh gym all week however due to some knee issues from the accident, can someone do an extra lap or two for me????

Cheating

Has anyone else fallen off the wagon once or twice? I had Burger King today. Should I not be admitting this here? It didn't taste the same as I remembered, though. That's a good thing, I guess. Here's to a healthier week!

My Plan

Ok, I'm with BSB (Bringing Sexy Back), I'd love to hear what other people's plans are. As for me, I'm doing a low calorie (1200/day), low carb/smart carb plan. It is very similar to the LA Weightloss program, but they don't have the specific calorie restriction that I have imposed upon myself. All my carbs essentially come from fruit and veg with 1 serving of complex carbs/grains (like the bowl of oatmeal I have in the morning). I have not yet incorporated exercise into my plan, but fully intend to start that aspect soon, so watch out when I do get going!

Oh, and BSB, I am taking aim at that target - I'll see you at the next weigh in ;-)

First 2 weeks

Now I have a target on my back, huh?! The main thing I am doing is expending more calories than I am taking in. I started going to the gym again and I try not to eat too late at night. I love the Weight Watchers points program, too! I'd love to hear tips from other people as well. Congrats to everyone on making it through the first two weeks!

Seriously, what is your eating (or not eating) plan Bringin Sexy Back? I must know, that is a huge number.

And great job everyone, looks like the first two weeks were were a success!

Mmmmmm....

So, sometimes I actually like being on a diet, because it forces me to eat better, which includes food that simply tastes better. I just have to share how good our dinner was tonight. We went to Whole Foods for our weekly shopping and got all kinds of fresh veggies, fruit, seafood, and meat, and tonight we had jumbo shrimp cocktail as a starter and scallops Provencal (pretend blogspot has the correct french alphabet) as our main dish. Ok, maybe its the wine (or the deprived dieter) but two hours after finishing I'm still so in love with how good everything tasted! Oh, and I'm so not worried about the wine, since on my diet is counts as a fruit - how great is that?!?

No more candy nightmares!

With the candy away, it is time to celebrate the success of overcoming desire of sweets! I didn't have one, I tell you ONE piece this season :)
I sent the leftover candy with John this morning to work (yeah I am THAT wife!) Good thing Brian doesn't work in the same office,lol!
